Live Recording

24-channel tracking at Eddie's Band Room

Anyone can do it, right?

Live recording is a loose term- you can take a stereo output from a mixing desk, but bear in mind that all effects and level changes made during the show will remain on the recording and you can't change them!

How WE do it

Make the most of your performance by capturing each instrument individually. Then, mix it to reflect your performance and balance it with your event ambiance to provide the perfect listening experience.

This technique also allows you to re-record any parts which didn't quite sound right on the day, and yet retain the live ambiance.

Can it be done at your gig?

The ability to record live shows depends heavily on the venue PA setup, and most FOH sound-guys don't like their cables to be messed with, so it is important to enquire about this in advance, to allow us to check out the venue and equipment and work out what's feasible.

Our live setup was designed with multi-track recording in mind; the studio becomes mobile and links back to control room in no time!
